What is dental plasmolifting?

Dental plasmolifting is used to stimulate the process of tissue regeneration in the mouth.

The plasmolifting method involves injecting autologous plasma in inflamed areas of the gums, in areas where implants are inserted, where sinus lifting has been performed, in post-extraction alveoli and post periodontal treatments. Also, it can be used as a method of maintenance and regeneration of inflamed tissues.

The procedure does not only treat inflammatory processes in the periodontal tissues but it can also improve the colour and structure of the gums, influence the recovery and development of bone tissue and prevent further bone loss.

Platelet growth factors that are in autologous plasma have a regenerating effect and promote the growth and development of blood capillaries, optimize hemodynamics, which contributes to tissue oxygenation and substance exchange.

At the same time, autologous plasma stimulates the process of regeneration of bone tissue, collagen matrix formation and bone, through the participation of morphogenetic proteins. Besides, local immunity is activated.
